What’s the deal with camera phones? They take a perfectly decent phone and strap a nigh-useless camera to it. Whoop-de-fuckin’-do. You can now take a picture the size of a postage stamp. Its resolution is measured in mP…millipixels. The color quality sucks, the contrast sucks, the brightness sucks, and everything comes out grainy. To further insult you, the “flash” is nothing more than a white LED with a range of two feet and completely inconsistent lighting. And it has a manual zoom–that is, to get a closer shot, you walk closer.

Let me know when they take a decent camera (with an optical zoom, an actual flash, and is rated above 3.2MP) and strap a decent phone to it. Then I might consider it. Until then, save me the money and keep that crap off of my phone. I’ll carry my digital camera if I want to take pictures.
